The network is a coordinated Nordic approach to implementing the EU AI Act. By joining forces across the Nordics and Baltics, we aim to turn shared challenges into opportunities—aligning efforts, learning from national best practices, and helping organisations adopt trustworthy AI faster.
What happens next
Over the coming months, we will engage with the national nodes connected to the New Nordics AI collaboration and their network to:
Map the RegTech tools, checklists, guidance, and support services already available in the region so organisations can more quickly find “fit-for-purpose” resources.
Identify gaps (“vacant lots”) where practical support is missing, especially for SMEs and public organisations that often lack dedicated compliance capacity.
Design clear service pathways that help different types of organisations understand where to start, what to do next, and who to contact.
A near-term touchpoint: AI Ecosystem Workshops in Oslo
From the ecosystem: the Nordic AI Union, a sister project, is convening “AI Ecosystem Workshops” on 16–17 March 2026 at the University of Oslo. The workshops are designed to connect innovators, ecosystem leaders, and other stakeholders around growth support, regulation, and practical pathways for AI development and deployment.
